Job Details:
We are looking for a full-time junior developer who will work on React based interfaces that are tied to a Socket or GraphQL backend. You will be writing ColdFusion application code and queries for MySQL. You will be working on a large web application and connected mobile apps. You will be required to work with HTML and CSS, but not expected to be a great designer – just to work with the existing framework and guidance will be provided for the markup needed for the UI.
The position will include work with our dev ops and reporting teams. You will learn how our infrastructure is architected, configured, managed / maintained, and be expected to perform management tasks like server restarts and basic troubleshooting of performance issues. All infrastructure is on Amazon Web Services. Lastly, you will learn about how our custom data reporting systems work. You will be expected to learn how to run and deliver reports, add new reports, and edit current reports.
The position is remote. Most of our team is in metro Detroit, and we do meet in person at least once annually.
Qualifications
  • Strong Foundational Programming Knowledge – need to be able to pick up new skills
  • Referencing Documentation – API, library, framework documentation, etc.
  • SQL – (MySQL) – need to be able to update a database schema and write performant queries
  • HTML knowledge
  • CSS knowledge
  • ColdFusion (Preferred)
  • JavaScript – Working with React, React Native, GraphQL, Apollo, Socket.IO Node, Express (Preferred)
